Albert Hayes Sentenced to 90 Years in Prison

The Office of State Attorney Glenn Hess announces that on Wednesday, August 3, 2017, Bay County Circuit Court Judge Brantley Clark sentenced Albert Hayes, II, to a total of 90.59 years in prison and designated him a sexual offender.  Hayes had previously been convicted by a jury of six counts of Lewd and Lascivious Battery.

At a trial held on July 6, 2017, Assistant State Attorneys Jennifer Hawkins and Alyssa Yarbrough presented the testimony of four witnesses to establish that the Defendant met a fifteen year old, on six different occasions in Bay County, Florida to engage in sexual acts with her between January of 2016 and March of 2017.  Investigator Brent Patrick with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.  The jury deliberated for a little over one hour before returning its verdict.
