Turberville Convicted of 20 Counts of Possession of Child Pornography

The Office of State Attorney Glenn Hess announces that on February 26, 2020, a Holmes County jury found Mark Lee Turberville guilty as charged of 20 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Evidence presented at trial proved that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement discovered that a computer using an IP address connected to the Defendant’s residence was offering to share files of known or suspected child pornography on the internet.  FDLE agents obtained a search warrant for the Defendant’s residence and located the files of child pornography on a computer in the Defendant’s bedroom.  The jury deliberated for 12 minutes before convicting the Defendant.

The case was investigated by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Brandon Young.  Sentencing is set for March 11, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. before the Honorable Judge Timothy Register. The Defendant faces a maximum sentence of 100 years in prison.
