Lacy Sentenced to Life for Sex Crimes Involving Child

The Office of State Attorney Glenn Hess announces that on December 3, 2019, Circuit Judge Ana Garcia sentenced William Douglas Lacy, III, to life in prison for 3 counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation, followed by 5 years in prison for 3 counts of Possession or Control of a Material Including Sexual Conduct of a Child, followed by 15 years in prison for 3 counts of Promoting Sexual Performance by a Child.  The Defendant was designated a Sexual Predator.

The Defendant was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers on October 22, 2019.  This case was investigated by Inv. Matthew Cutcher and assisted by Sgt. David Higgins and Captain Jason Daffin with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Barbara Beasley and Ian Gray.
