Therapeutic Justice

Therapeutic Justice Court provides targeted treatment for criminal defendants diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness.  Defendants are referred to community based treatment programs and support services designed to educate, provide treatment and motivate the defendant to successfully manage the illness while still holding the defendant accountable for his or her actions.  Veterans and single mothers have preference for entry into the program.
